Strongly alkaline (pKa ≈ 10-11), can react with acids to form salts. Boiling point approximately 134°C, density about 0.82 g/cm³, flash point about 32°C. Stable at room temperature, but should be kept away from oxidizers and strong acids; hygroscopic.
Uses:Mainly used as a curing agent for epoxy resins, also as an organic synthesis intermediate and solvent for the preparation of dyes, emulsifiers, antistatic agents, etc.
