Slightly soluble in water; miscible with ethanol, diethyl ether, chloroform and most organic solvents. Highly toxic and carcinogenic.
Uses:Used as an organic synthesis raw material, mainly for the production of epoxy resins, glycerol, epichlorohydrin rubber, surfactants, plasticizers and stabilizers. Also used as a solvent and an adhesive for cellulose esters.
