Uses:Crotonic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid containing a double bond and a carboxyl group, showing high reactivity. It is mainly used in the production of various resins, fungicides, surface coatings, plasticizers and pharmaceuticals, and also as a softening agent for synthetic rubber. Its most important application is as a raw material for polyvinyl acetate coatings.
