Uses:Dimethyl carbonate is a good methylating, carbonylating, hydroxymethylating and methoxylating agent with active chemical properties. As an organic synthesis intermediate, it is widely used as a solvent in paints, coatings and adhesives, replacing ethyl acetate and butanone. It can also be used as a gasoline additive, high-energy battery electrolyte, water treatment agent, and for the preparation of polycarbonate, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fragrances, synthetic lubricants, etc.
