Density approx. 0.787 g/cm³ (20°C), boiling point approx. 247°C, flash point approx. 105°C. It exhibits typical tertiary amine reactivity and can undergo quaternization, ethoxylation, oxidation, etc.
Uses:Primarily used to synthesize cationic/amphoteric surfactants such as quaternary ammonium salts, amine oxides, and betaines. Widely used in daily chemicals and the detergent industry as softeners, antistatic agents, and emulsifiers. In textiles it is used as a leveling agent and wetting agent; in oilfield chemicals it serves as a corrosion inhibitor and bactericide.
