It can be used to detect anti-FIIa activity of unfractionated heparin and low molecular weight heparin, evaluate anti-FIIa activity of synthetic compounds or tissue extracts, measure antithrombin concentration in blood samples for diagnosis of antithrombin deficiency, and monitor blood heparin concentration during surgery.
