It has an extremely low vapor pressure (about 4.6×10⁻⁵ mPa at 25°C) and very low water solubility (about 10 μg/L at 20°C). It is readily soluble in acetone, dimethylformamide and other organic solvents, and is stable to light and heat.
Uses:It is a benzoylurea insect growth regulator that interferes with larval molting by inhibiting chitin synthesis, exhibiting both stomach and contact activity. It is mainly used to control lepidopteran pests on vegetables, fruit trees, cotton and ornamental plants, such as beet armyworm, cotton bollworm, diamondback moth and tobacco cutworm, with a long residual effect and relatively low toxicity to beneficial insects.
