Physical Properties:White to slightly yellow powder with a density of 1.43 g/cm³ (20°C). It is an anionic polysaccharide produced by fermentation of Xanthomonas campestris, with repeating units containing glucose, glucuronic acid and rhamnose, existing as a mixed calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium salt. It hydrates rapidly, dissolves well and forms highly viscous solutions. It exhibits high viscosity at low shear rates and shear-thinning behaviour at high shear rates, providing strong pseudoplasticity that facilitates application and pumping.
Uses:Primarily used in scientific research, experimentation and production. As an efficient thickener and rheology modifier, it is widely applied in water-based coatings, construction materials, oilfield drilling fluids and daily chemical systems, significantly improving suspension stability and pumpability.
