Physical Properties:Metconazole technical is a white to light yellow crystalline solid with a melting point of about 110–113 °C and a density of about 1.2 g/cm³. It has low vapor pressure, is slightly soluble in water, and is readily soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, methanol and dichloromethane. It is relatively stable to light, heat and acidic/alkaline conditions, and does not readily decompose under normal storage conditions.
Uses:Metconazole is a broad-spectrum triazole fungicide that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi and disrupts cell membrane structure and function, providing protective and curative activity. It is mainly used on wheat, rice, barley, oilseed rape and other crops to control fungal diseases such as powdery mildew, rust, Fusarium head blight, rice blast and sheath blight. It also exhibits plant growth-regulating activity, reducing plant height and enhancing lodging resistance.
