It can be applied in seedling nurseries, direct-seeded fields, transplanted seedling fields and broadcast-seeded seedling fields at 15-45 g/ha. Its mode of action is inhibition of acetolactate synthase (ALS), blocking branched-chain amino acid biosynthesis, causing sensitive weeds to stop growing, then chlorosis and necrosis until death.
