It is resistant to alkalis but not to acids; it decomposes in acidic conditions releasing hydrogen sulfide. Its density is about 2.35 g/cm³, with strong tinting strength and a pure color shade.
Uses:It is mainly used as a colorant in coatings and inks, imparting a stable and vivid violet shade to finished products. It is also widely applied in plastics, rubber, papermaking and cosmetics. Due to its non-toxic and environmentally friendly nature, it is also commonly used in food packaging inks and toy coatings.
