Sweetness disappears when heated under acidic conditions, forming o-sulfamoylbenzoic acid. Freely soluble in water (1 g/1.5 mL), slightly soluble in ethanol (1 g/50 mL), solubility in water ≥10 g/100 mL at 20°C.
