It has a very low vapor pressure (2.3×10^-7 Pa at 25°C) and low water solubility (about 1.8 mg/L). It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, ethanol, and toluene. It is stable to light and heat, stable in acidic media, and hydrolyzes slowly under alkaline conditions.
Uses:It is a broad-spectrum contact pyrrole fungicide that interferes with fungal growth by inhibiting glucose phosphorylation-related transfer processes in fungal cells. It is used on wheat, rice, vegetables, fruit trees and other crops to control gray mold, sclerotinia, scab, downy mildew and other diseases. It can also be used as a seed treatment for controlling seed-borne and soil-borne diseases.
