Insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in hydrochloric acid to form cuprous chloride, soluble in ammonia solution to form a colorless complex. Stable in air, can be oxidized to copper oxide at high temperatures.
Uses:Used in the manufacture of antifouling paints, glass and ceramic colorants, insecticides, catalysts, as well as for electrode materials and corrosion inhibitors.
