Physical Properties:Brown uniform liquid or dark brown viscous liquid with a relative density of approximately 0.95-1.05 g/cm³ (20°C). Insoluble in water but completely soluble in organic solvents such as aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons; the solution is stable, transparent, and free of precipitates.
Uses:Used as a drier for paints and inks, accelerating film drying by promoting the oxidation and polymerization of unsaturated olefins. Suitable for air-drying paints, amino baking enamels, and self-drying paints. Often used together with cobalt, lead, zinc, calcium, zirconium, rare earth, and other naphthenate driers to enhance drying efficiency and improve film gloss and hardness; its use in white paints is limited. Recommended dosage: 0.02%-0.06% (metal on resin solids).
