Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, soluble in organic solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethylformamide. As an anthraquinone derivative, it induces cartilage formation and exhibits anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Uses:Mainly used for the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). It inhibits the activity of interleukin-1 (IL-1), delays articular cartilage degeneration, improves joint function, alleviates pain and enhances patients' quality of life.
