Uses:Ethanolamine is an important organic chemical intermediate, mainly used in gas purification as an absorbent for flue gas desulfurization, carbon dioxide recovery and natural gas purification. It is also used as a raw material for non-ionic surfactants in the production of detergents and emulsifiers, as a synthetic intermediate in the pharmaceutical and pesticide industries, and as a cement grinding aid, pH regulator for metalworking fluids, and catalyst/chain terminator in the polyurethane industry.
