Soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, and dichloromethane; slightly soluble in alcohols and ethers; insoluble in water. Sensitive to acids and oxidants. Should be stored sealed, protected from light, under an inert atmosphere.
Uses:Mainly used as a catalyst in palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki coupling, Sonogashira coupling, and Stille coupling. It is also a common zero-valent palladium catalyst in organic synthesis for forming carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds.
