Physical Properties:White to light yellow powder or paste with a weak fatty acid odor. Readily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is alkaline, with strong stability in neutral and alkaline media. Density approx. 0.91 g/cm³, melting point approx. 50-80°C, flash point approx. 130°C. Excellent emulsifying, wetting, penetrating, dispersing and detergency properties.
Uses:As an anionic surfactant, used in the production of liquid and paste detergents or latex. Also applied in rubber latex foaming, preparation of microemulsion metalworking fluids, and as a cleaner in the cleaning industry. With strong emulsifying capability, it can form highly dispersed emulsions.
