Uses:Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is a highly selective α2-adrenergic receptor agonist with sedative, analgesic and anxiolytic effects. It is clinically used for the sedation of patients in intensive care units, as well as sedation during surgery and as an anesthetic adjuvant, reducing anesthetic requirements and maintaining hemodynamic stability.
