Uses:Mainly used as an organic synthetic intermediate and a carboxyl-activating reagent in peptide synthesis, converting carboxylic acids into the corresponding pentafluorophenyl esters to facilitate amide bond formation. It is also used for mild trifluoroacetylation of carboxylic acid-containing compounds such as amino acids and nucleosides.
