Physical Properties:White powder with a slight fishy odor, melting point 87°C, very soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline. In air, it gradually decomposes under the action of water and carbon dioxide; upon contact with acid, it decomposes into carbon disulfide, diethylamine, and other substances.
Uses:This product is an excellent flotation collector with good selectivity for copper, lead, antimony, and other metal sulfide ores. Its dosage is lower than that of xanthate and dithiophosphate collectors, and its flotation performance on complex polymetallic sulfide ores is superior. It is also used as an analytical reagent and a rubber vulcanization accelerator.
