It is slightly soluble in water and readily soluble in alcohols, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic solvents. It is unstable to light and easily decomposes in alkaline media.
Uses:Phoxim is a broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticide with contact and stomach action. It is mainly used to control various pests on rice, cotton, fruit trees, vegetables and other crops, such as rice planthoppers, cotton bollworms, aphids and mites, and can also be applied to soil for the control of subterranean pests.
