Uses:Epothilone B is a microtubule-stabilizing agent that promotes microtubule polymerization and inhibits microtubule depolymerization, causing cell cycle arrest at G2/M phase and inducing apoptosis, thereby exerting antitumor activity. As an anticancer drug candidate (Patupilone), this compound has been investigated in a variety of solid tumors, especially showing good activity against paclitaxel-resistant tumors.
