Uses:Rofecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It is used clinically for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and acute pain, acting by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis.
