Readily soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol and vegetable oils; almost insoluble in water. Good heat resistance and stable at ambient temperature when protected from light; suitable for high-temperature processing and tobacco roasting applications.
Uses:Mainly used as a key flavor material in tobacco products (flue-cured tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, e-liquids and heated tobacco products), enhancing sweetness, improving smoke smoothness, masking off-notes, enriching the aroma layering and improving the aftertaste. Also used in food flavors (green tea, black tea, honey, nut, caramel and tropical fruit profiles) at 0.5–5 mg/kg as recommended by FEMA, as well as in daily-use fragrances (personal care, perfumes and aromatherapy), where trace amounts significantly improve aroma quality and longevity. Complies with GB 2760 and FEMA GRAS requirements.
