Uses:The mercapto groups can be used to construct higher-order supramolecular structures via oxidation or substitution reactions. They also bind strongly to gold and other noble metal surfaces, enabling the preparation of functionalized gold nanoparticles and self-assembled monolayers. This thiolated cyclodextrin derivative is also applicable in reversal studies of drug-induced neuromuscular blockade.
