Physical Properties:Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid with a pungent odor. It hydrolyzes readily in contact with water or moisture, releasing hydrogen chloride. Soluble in toluene, benzene, hexane and other organic solvents. Boiling point approximately 190°C, flash point approximately 95°C, relative density approximately 1.25.
Uses:Used as an organosilicon intermediate for the preparation of silicon-containing polymers, silicone resins and silane coupling agents, and also as a crosslinking agent in modification reactions.
