Relative density approximately 1.06 (25°C), boiling point approximately 186°C (2.7 Pa), extremely low vapor pressure. Insoluble in water (water solubility <0.1 mg/L), readily soluble in hexane, acetone, ethanol, xylene and other organic solvents. Stable to light and in acidic media, decomposes readily in alkaline media.
Uses:d-Phenothrin is a pyrethroid insecticide with contact and stomach poisoning effects, characterized by broad spectrum, high efficacy and low toxicity. It is primarily used to control sanitary pests such as mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches and bed bugs, as well as stored-product pests and ectoparasites on livestock. It is often formulated into aerosols, insecticidal sprays, mosquito coils and other dosage forms.
