It is prepared by heating a stoichiometric mixture of copper and selenium in an evacuated sealed quartz tube, or by reducing a copper salt and selenious acid in ammonia solution with hydrazine hydrate. Used as a semiconductor.
Uses:Mainly used for preparing compound semiconductors, copper(I) selenide sputtering targets, and copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) thin-film solar cells, especially suitable for preparing CIGS films by sputtering and printing processes.

High-purity copper(I) selenide -05: purity ≥ 99.999%, total impurities (Ag, Al, As, Au, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sn, Zn) < 10 ppm.
