Physical Properties:Colorless to slightly yellow transparent solid with a density of about 1.20 g/cm³, glass transition temperature of about 150°C, heat deflection temperature (1.82 MPa) of about 125–130°C, and continuous service temperature of about 120°C. It offers excellent impact strength, dimensional stability, electrical insulation and creep resistance, low water absorption (about 0.15%), and light transmittance up to 90%. It is soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents such as dichloromethane and chloroform, stable to dilute acids, salt solutions, oils and alcohols, but susceptible to swelling or stress cracking in alkalis, ammonia and ketone solvents.
Uses:Suitable for machinery, instruments, automotive parts, electronics and electrical equipment, railways, household appliances, communications, textile machinery, sports and leisure products and other fields. Typical applications include connectors, coil bobbins, timers, circuit breaker covers, switch housings in electronics/electrical; radiator fans, door handles, fuel tank caps, air intake grilles, radiator grilles, lamp sockets in automotive; seat bases, bicycle rims, skate bases, textile shuttles, pedals, pulleys and other precision engineering products.
