Uses:This is an aminocyclitol antibiotic primarily used for the treatment of gonococcal infections and urogenital tract infections caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is also used in veterinary medicine for mycoplasmosis, colibacillosis and other bacterial infections in poultry and livestock. In biochemical and pharmacological research, it is used as an antibiotic reference standard.
