Uses:Silver sulfadiazine is a sulfonamide antibacterial agent that exerts a synergistic antimicrobial effect through silver ions and sulfadiazine, showing strong activity against Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, as well as Gram-positive bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus. It is primarily used for the prevention and treatment of secondary infections in second- and third-degree burn wounds, and may also be applied to other cutaneous wound infections.
