Physical Properties:Colorless crystals; melting point approximately 172°C (decomposes); sparingly soluble in water; readily soluble in acetone, methanol, chloroform and other organic solvents; stable to acids and bases.
Uses:It is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide of the substituted benzene class. After absorption by plants, it is converted into carbendazim, interfering with fungal mycelial formation and cell division, providing protective and curative effects. Mainly used for foliar spray and soil treatment to control rice blast, wheat scab, vegetable gray mold, and other diseases; mixed with hymexazol it is effective against root and soil-borne diseases.
