Density 1.3~1.4 g/cm³, refractive index 1.655, melting point 265℃, glass transition temperature approximately 70~80℃, thermal decomposition temperature approximately 350℃, water absorption approximately 0.4%~0.5%. Good chemical resistance to weak acids and weak alkalis. Soluble in hot phenol and benzyl alcohol.
Uses:Used for manufacturing polyester fibers, films, engineering plastics, etc. The sheets are used for pharmaceutical packaging; the films serve as high-grade packaging materials for medical instruments, precision instruments, electronic components, as well as substrates for motion picture film and photographic film. In the packaging field, it is mainly used to make bottle-type containers.
