Physical Properties:White powder with a melting point of approximately 230°C, thermal decomposition temperature above 300°C, and bromine content ≥67%. Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in organic solvents such as toluene and dimethylformamide.
Uses:It is used as a flame retardant for plastics such as ABS, PS, HIPS, PC, PBT, PET, PE, and PVC, especially for flame-retardant modification of HIPS, PBT, ABS, and glass-fiber reinforced systems. With high thermal stability, UV resistance, and migration resistance, it works synergistically with antimony trioxide to significantly improve flame-retardant efficiency while maintaining excellent notched impact strength.
