Physical Properties:Light yellow to amber viscous liquid with weak alkalinity. Miscible with water in any proportion to form a clear and transparent solution. It has low surface tension and good wetting and dispersing properties. Relative density is approximately 1.0-1.1 g/cm³, boiling point is above 200°C, and flash point is above 100°C.
Uses:Used as an adhesion promoter in water-based coatings, water-based inks, printing paste, UV varnish, PU varnish, plastic paint, and metal baking paint. Especially suitable for water-based paints, it significantly improves the adhesion and toughness of coating films to substrates such as PET film. When added to water-based inks with insufficient adhesion to PET film in water-based polyurethane resin systems, it effectively enhances adhesion. The recommended dosage is 0.5-2.5% by total weight.
