Physical Properties:Depending on the degree of ethoxylation, the product appears as a colorless to light yellow waxy solid or a yellow oily liquid. It is soluble in water, exhibiting nonionic behavior in alkaline or neutral media and cationic behavior in acidic media. It has emulsifying, dispersing, antistatic and leveling properties.

Uses:Used as a leveling agent for acid metal complex dyes, reducing sulfuric acid consumption in dye baths and minimizing damage to fabric strength; also used as a leveling agent for neutral dyes and vat dyes, and as a stripping agent for wool and nylon fabrics. It serves as an emulsifier, antistatic agent and dispersant in textiles, and as an additive in the production of viscose tire cord.
