- 橙红色粉末或颗粒，无臭，吸湿性强，耐光、耐热性强。在柠檬酸、酒石酸中稳定，遇碱变为带褐的红色。易溶于水，中性及酸性水溶液呈橙黄色，碱性时呈红棕色，溶于浓硫酸得橙色液，用水稀释后呈黄色。溶于甘油、丙二醇，微溶于乙醇。

Physical Properties:Orange-red powder or granules, odorless, strongly hygroscopic, resistant to light and heat. Stable in citric acid and tartaric acid; turns reddish-brown when exposed to alkali. Easily soluble in water with neutral and acid aqueous solutions appearing orange-yellow and alkaline solutions appearing reddish-brown. Soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid producing an orange solution, turning yellow upon dilution with water. Soluble in glycerol and propylene glycol; slightly soluble in ethanol.
Uses:A food-grade yellow pigment used as a food colorant in candy coatings, red and green garnishes, beverages, prepared wines, confectionery, cake decorations, watermelon jam canned goods, green plums, and shrimp-flavored products. Also used as a colorant in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and as a raw material for manufacturing aluminum lake pigments.
