Physical Properties:Dark reddish-brown semi-transparent amber solid, thermoplastic, insoluble in water, soluble in alcohols, ketones, and certain aromatic hydrocarbon solvents. It exhibits high reactivity when combined with methylene donors and remains chemically stable at room temperature.
Uses:Primarily used in the rubber industry. When combined with methylene donors, it significantly enhances the adhesion strength between rubber compounds and dipped or undipped reinforcing materials such as tire cords. It can also be used alone as a tackifier for rubber compounds. Typical applications include tires, conveyor belts, and various rubber goods.
