Physical Properties:Transparent light yellow to dark brown liquid at room temperature, acidic, readily soluble in water. It has good chemical stability, not easy to decompose under normal light and heat conditions, and exhibits better resistance to acid, alkali, chlorine oxidation than other organic phosphonic acids (salts). It can form stable six-membered ring chelates with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, providing scale inhibition and significant tolerance effects.
Uses:Mainly used as scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in industrial circulating cooling water systems, medium/low pressure boilers, oilfield water injection and oil pipelines. It is also used as metal and non-metal cleaning agent, peroxide stabilizer and fixing agent in textile bleaching and dyeing industry, and complexing agent in cyanide-free electroplating. It shows synergistic effects when compounded with other water treatment agents.
