Uses:Icodextrin is a starch-derived glucose polymer primarily used as the osmotic active ingredient in peritoneal dialysis solutions. It achieves continuous ultrafiltration through colloid osmosis and is indicated for continuous peritoneal dialysis in patients with end-stage renal disease, particularly those with reduced peritoneal ultrafiltration capacity or ultrafiltration failure.
