Physical Properties:Pale yellow transparent liquid, solvent-free, 100% solid content, free of heavy metals such as tin, lead, and mercury, and free of antioxidants. Density approx. 1.15 g/cm³ at 25°C, flash point ≥100°C. Easily soluble in common polyurethane raw materials such as polyols and isocyanates, insoluble in water. It features low toxicity, environmental friendliness, short induction period, and stable viscosity build-up.
Uses:Used as an efficient and environmentally friendly bismuth-based catalyst in polyurethane synthesis, mainly catalyzing the reaction between isocyanate (-NCO) and hydroxyl (-OH) groups with high selectivity, resulting in fewer bubbles and better mechanical properties. It can replace highly toxic catalysts such as organotin, organolead, and organomercury compounds, and is widely used in adhesives, sealants, coatings, elastomers, shoe materials, foams, semi-polyurea, PU slurries, and prepolymers.
