It is an organic peroxide with poor thermal stability; it may decompose when heated, impacted, or contacted with reducing agents, and should be stored in a cool place away from light.
Uses:Used as a free-radical polymerization initiator for the production of PVC, polyethylene, PMMA (acrylic glass), and other high-molecular-weight polymers.
