Physical Properties:Light yellow to brownish-red transparent liquid, readily soluble in water, insoluble in most organic solvents. It has excellent chelating ability and high-temperature resistance, and is stable under alkaline conditions. Density is about 1.25~1.35 g/cm³ (20°C).
Uses:Mainly used as scale and corrosion inhibitor in circulating cooling water, oilfield injection water and boiler water treatment. It effectively prevents the formation of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scales, especially suitable for high pH, high hardness and high alkalinity water. Also used in metal ion chelating agents and cleaning formulations.
