- 白色细微无定形粉末，无臭、无味。相对密度4.42~4.45。不溶于水和乙醇，微溶于氨，溶于稀酸和氢氧化钠溶液。与30%双氧水作用会释放二氧化碳并形成过氧化物。对硫化促进剂有活化作用，可加快硫化速度；透明度优于氧化锌，无增白现象；硬度会明显增高。

Physical Properties:White fine amorphous powder, odorless and tasteless. Relative density 4.42–4.45. Insoluble in water and alcohol, slightly soluble in ammonia, soluble in dilute acids and sodium hydroxide solution. Reacts with 30% hydrogen peroxide to release carbon dioxide and form a peroxide. It can activate accelerators and accelerate vulcanization; transparency is better than zinc oxide with no whitening effect, and hardness is noticeably increased.
Uses:Used as a vulcanization activator for natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, chloroprene rubber and EPDM rubber products, especially for manufacturing transparent rubber articles. In the EVA foaming industry it acts as a foaming aid to ensure uniform foaming and moderate the action of AC/ADC blowing agents. It is also used as a mild astringent, raw material for latex goods, a component in calamine lotion, a desulfurizer for rayon and fertilizer production, a corrosion inhibitor and sulfide scavenger for H₂S-containing oil and gas wells, a zinc supplement in animal feed, and a skin protectant.
