Uses:It is a mild tert-butyl esterification reagent that converts carboxylic acids to the corresponding tert-butyl esters under mild conditions. It can also be used for tert-butylation or formylation of active hydrogen compounds such as alcohols, phenols and amines, and is a common acetal-type reagent in organic synthesis.
