Physical Properties:This product is an aqueous solution containing a mixture of aliphatic polyamino-polycarboxylic ampholytes, providing an effective pH gradient range of 3.5~10. It is miscible with water in all proportions, appearing as a clear liquid with good buffering capacity and low conductivity, and can form a stable pH gradient in an electric field.
Uses:Mainly used in isoelectric focusing electrophoresis as carrier ampholytes to form pH gradients, for isoelectric point analysis and separation/purification of amphoteric molecules such as proteins and peptides. Also applicable to the first-dimension isoelectric focusing separation in two-dimensional electrophoresis.
