Soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, toluene and other solvents; slightly soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Uses:Used as an oilfield corrosion inhibitor for protecting metal equipment from acidic media in oil and gas well acidizing and fracturing operations. It effectively inhibits corrosion of carbon steel and stainless steel in hydrochloric acid and mud acid systems. It is also applicable in metalworking fluids and recirculating cooling water systems.
