Hydroxyl functional groups enable crosslinking reactions with isocyanates and amino resins. Soluble in acetone, toluene, ethanol, ethyl acetate and other organic solvents; insoluble in water.
Uses:Used as an organic intermediate, mainly applied in formulations of coatings, adhesives, sealants and inks. Its pendant hydroxyl groups can participate in crosslinking reactions, significantly improving adhesion, flexibility and weather resistance of the resin to substrates.
